Critical Thinking and Patient Safety Workshop

About the workshop

Our premiere program, this course combines clinical case studies and small group learning, with SBAR communication.

The aim is to support nurses to identify, assess and respond to a patient who is deteriorating. By working through various real life scenarios involving patient assessment, history, bloodwork, and diagnostics, the learner will develop an ability to synthesize information from all relevant sources, to create and prioritize a list of clinical concerns. These concerns are then articulated in SBAR format.

Through multiple case studies, a standardized process of assessing, documenting, and communicating becomes apparent. Nurse will leave this wokrshop feeling confident in their skills and abilities while taking care of their patients, and be able to clearly communicate with their peers and leaders through any situation.
